Ndokwa Youths and Community Leaders endorse Chief Godwill Obielum for 2015 Delta Governorship race...Call on other Ethnic nationalities to support him and pass a vote of confidence on Hon Friday Osanebi - Member representing Ndokwa East constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.

At the end of a five-day international training on "conflict resolution and management in oil and gas producing communities in the Niger Delta" held in Dubai, UAE and sponsored by the Honourable member representing Ndokwa East constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly - Hon friday Ossai Osanebi in conjunction with The Obielum Foundation, a delegation of Ndokwa youths and host community leaders have publicly declared their support for Godwill Obielum, a front-line aspirant for Delta State 2015 Governorship race.

The youths and community leaders that attended the international capacity building workshop were drafted from all the clans in Ndokwaland and some other ethnic groups in Delta State.  The unprecedented youths' and community leaders' empowerment programme was part of Hon. Osanebi's civil obligations of empowering the youths and also giving back to the society through which he has been immensely blessed. The member representing Ndokwa East Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Osanebi, has made immense efforts in imparting positively on the lives of the younger generations in Delta State and Niger Delta region in a bid to refine them into resourceful and industrious citizens.

The beneficiaries amongst whom are
Benjamin Onwubolu - Ndokwa Youth National President, Nzete Anslem - Ndokwa Youth leader, Chika Nwabuofu - Ukwuani Youth Leader, Austine Osanebi - Ndokwa East Youth leader, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi and Kingsley Okpoko - Isoko Youth Leader amongst others  expressed gratitude for the gesture and rare opportunity as they passed a Vote of Confidence on Hon Osanebi. The National President of Ndokwa Youths, Benjamin Onwubolu who spoke on behalf of the youths said they have endorsed Chief Godswill Obielum a philanthropist, PDP Chieftain in Delta State and Chairman of The Obielum Foundation for the 2015 Delta State Governorship Race.

Presenting the communique at the end of the event, the youths and leaders also called on other ethnic groups in Delta North to allow an Ndokwa man in the person of Chief Godswill Obielum to take over from the amiable incumbent Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan in 2015.  In their words, "since the PDP have agreed to zone the Governorship to Delta North in  2015, it is only fair and right that Ndokwa nation produces the next Governor come 2015, considering the massive population, abundant natural resources and impeccable human resources from the area. We are always our brothers' keepers, so we must consider equity and fairness in our demands as well. While the Ika people have produced an acting Governor and deputy Governor of the state, the Aniocha/Oshimili have produced a deputy Governor of the state as well, it is only natural that Ndokwa people get their chance to occupy the No. 1 seat of power in the state in 2015."

On endorsing Chief Godswill Obielum, the delegates stated that he is the only aspirant on both sides of the divides (both PDP and opposition parties) with a dynamic but selfless leadership acumen and versatile experience to build on the achievements of the Uduaghan-led administration in Delta State. They also emphasised that Obielum as an experienced security professional will help consolidate and build on the highly effective security agenda of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, which has brought the much needed peace to the Delta region. On the vote of confidence passed on the State House of Assembly member representing Ndokwa East constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly - Hon Osanebi, who they described as a leader with his people's interest at heart, they said he has done well in his first two years in the Delta State House of Assembly as exhibited by the 100% completed constituency projects, sustained excellent relationship with his constituents and effective representation at all times.

They also pledged to use the acquired knowledge in alternative dispute resolution and crises management to ensure that the peaceful coexistence between the Ndokwa people and different Oil and Gas Companies operating in the area continues.

Hon  Osanebi, commended them for their decent behaviour through out their training and stay in Dubai while responding to the youths and community leaders and promised them more dividends of democracy.
