The rumors had been floating around for the past couple of days, and we can confirm now that K9 and Eldee (Trybe Records) have parted ways in their professional dealings, and K9 now floats his own label, Young Lion Entertainment.
There had mumblings of K9 not being given the right attention and package while at Trybe Records, and his hit single Kokoma never had a video worthy of the status of the song.
With K9 gone, along with Sojay, Sheyman, Sarz, Eva and possibly Aramide, you have to wonder if this will spell the end of Trybe Records 2.0.

Over the past couple of weeks, rumours have surfaced around the entertainment industry that singer/producer “K9″ (@TheOfficialK9) has parted ways with his record label Trybe Records owned by eLDee the don.
In a recent interview with HipTv, the Kokoma master, as his fans call him, cleared the air on this issue and also gave an insight into what his plans for the rest of the year are.
According to him “At some point, all businesses have to part ways. I’m still cool with Eldee… I still hope to work with him in future but for now I’m doing things on my own… We are in the process of finalizing arrangements for me to leave”.
The multi-talented singer/songwriter/producer and dancer who recently released a new song “Celebration” with long-time friend and top producer “BeatsBySarz”, also dropped the name of his own entertainment outfit “Young Lion Entertainment”.
K9 revealed that his new single “Lord Have Mercy”, produced by himself, features industry colleague Olamide and drops in a few weeks, and that his fans should expect more B.A.N.G.E.Rs, more collaborations and videos this year.
